Similar to the metallic red and gold finish applied to Iron Man’s arc-jet-powered suits, the base late-’90s racing build looks like a simplistic “Sail” base layer to start, closely followed by “Team Red” wraparound hues, the leather tongue, nylon collar, laces, and fasteners presiding. Dipping the first half of its recurring TPU overlays in the aforementioned hue results in a warm vanilla gradient across the bottom half that bleeds onto the neutral-base sole underfoot. Comprised of a mix of tans throughout, the full-length Max Air unit reveals more gold embellishments alongside the pair’s final duo of Swooshes.
